trailer envy what are the axles rated
edit, also most of you know but for those that don't you can put that trailer in places you can't put a bumper pull, you can jackknife it almost to the front of your truck

sorry tater I really do have envy, I don't wanna know the price but I would like to know if you picked it up on a deal or got it new? I would ALMOST trade my hydraulic tilt for that
It was used used, 5000 # axles. Needs a little loving on, but is still a solid trailer but for 2 yards I don't think I did bad
Alvord iron and salvage
3rd generation scrapper and dam proud of it
Start of first load
Latest upgrades to my '84, aka blue mule.
Cargo lights, pulled off scrapped vehicle of course, mounted to headache rack using scrap angle iron.
Four switch panel sourced from 80's conversion van. Didn't really Need 3 more switches But I guess I have spAres now.
And all this powered by 12ga jacketed wire also from a scrap Vehicle
Should make hooking up new car trailer at night much easier.
random question. are those 5 lug axles and for some reason I thought that with 5 lugs the max was 3500 per axle?
Yes indeed they are 5 lug, but 5x5 not 5x4.5 so I'm guessing that's why it's rated higher. Papers from when it was bought new say 5000, less axles have been changed. I need to replace brakes soon so I'll find out for sure then.
No dice like this trailer way too much, and I can see in the not too distant future an upgrade of 8000# axles and 16" tires on 8bolt rims. It'd be easier that way since I already drive 3/4 ton pickups
Tater I think you just made Cory cry.

Recently sold my '85 dodge pickup bed and got started on the next one. Chassis is '93 ford 3/4 ton with 9' 2" by 7' wide flat bed.
I prefab the tongue and bolt it to the frame so I can tow it to the welder, which is all I have done at this minute. Should have rest done this week. Plan to add 3' sides after finishing all that up.
View of rest of the bed
Bulldog 7000 # hitch, only ball hitch I use nowadays
Jack I saved from shredder, end was bent so cut that section out and moved the bottom plate up. Took it apart and greased it all up and it works great.
Tongue salvaged from fold out spring tooth.
NIce on the 2 ton was that a ford l8000/9000 if so what was wrong with it

Was Hammerblow bought out by Bulldog.. These are the most badarse hitches on the planet! Got one on my trailer.. it actually was the deciding factor between two nearly identical trailers. One had the Hammerblow, the other had the "spring-that-busts-so-easy" hitch on it.. Hammerblow/Bulldog wins hands down!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!
And I believe it was a 9000 ford
A update on taters Life, picked up 2 83 caddys this week. Traded one, the 4door for a old Chevy pickup and crown vic car body full of scrap. Also picked up this lot of e scrap that was inside the 2 door caddy,http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/elect...ot-escarp.html
