edit, also most of you know but for those that don't you can put that trailer in places you can't put a bumper pull, you can jackknife it almost to the front of your truck

Latest upgrades to my '84, aka blue mule.
Cargo lights, pulled off scrapped vehicle of course, mounted to headache rack using scrap angle iron.

Four switch panel sourced from 80's conversion van. Didn't really Need 3 more switches But I guess I have spAres now.

And all this powered by 12ga jacketed wire also from a scrap Vehicle

random question. are those 5 lug axles and for some reason I thought that with 5 lugs the max was 3500 per axle?

Yes indeed they are 5 lug, but 5x5 not 5x4.5 so I'm guessing that's why it's rated higher. Papers from when it was bought new say 5000, less axles have been changed. I need to replace brakes soon so I'll find out for sure then.

No dice like this trailer way too much, and I can see in the not too distant future an upgrade of 8000# axles and 16" tires on 8bolt rims. It'd be easier that way since I already drive 3/4 ton pickups

Recently sold my '85 dodge pickup bed and got started on the next one. Chassis is '93 ford 3/4 ton with 9' 2" by 7' wide flat bed.
I prefab the tongue and bolt it to the frame so I can tow it to the welder, which is all I have done at this minute. Should have rest done this week. Plan to add 3' sides after finishing all that up.

View of rest of the bed

Bulldog 7000 # hitch, only ball hitch I use nowadays

Jack I saved from shredder, end was bent so cut that section out and moved the bottom plate up. Took it apart and greased it all up and it works great.

Tongue salvaged from fold out spring tooth.

Was Hammerblow bought out by Bulldog.. These are the most badarse hitches on the planet! Got one on my trailer.. it actually was the deciding factor between two nearly identical trailers. One had the Hammerblow, the other had the "spring-that-busts-so-easy" hitch on it.. Hammerblow/Bulldog wins hands down!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

It was worn out and half parted out, and lacked a bed, if I do run accross another 2 ton truck with a steel bed and sides better believe I'll make it into a gooseneck, dump bed trailer.
