Taters latest score. '84 olds. Ad said "possible head gasket issues" may need new motor. When I got there the head was chilling in the trunk. Needless to say I wasn't too fond of this but got to talk em down another 50$ for its all good. Oringinally wanted to fix and resell but being its a basket case, with who knows how many parts missing, I got it cheap enough to scrap. Got a set of 1/2-3/4 tread 14" tires which always sell stupid fast around here. Going to pickup a late 90's grand prix after work !

If that is the 3.1 motor, it is a good one after you fix the intake gaskets. Seems to be a weak link on the 3.1. Daughter had one and after the gaskets were fixed then it was a really good car, good fuel milage etc, etc. I don't think they sell too many new 14's any more so that's why the used ones are hard to come by. We could not find any good ones in the yards, she had to break down and buy new ones.

I had an '81 Cutlass Supreme Brougham..... White w/ white vinyl top, red leather, small V-8, mid twenties MPG on the hwy, miles of chrome on it...... Great car, but it nickel and dimed me to death.

I would give $4,000 to have it back in cherry condition.

I've grown up with olds, pontiac, and chevy cars. Makes me sad the first two are gone. Gm cars and trucks run in my family, we all have at least one and my dad has 6 or better.

Well the guy backed out on me on the pickup, the only vehicle that worth going after so I ditched the whole deal ! People piss me off, if we shake hands and agree on price, it's done ! Well it should be anyhow, guess you can't count on it til it's on the trailer !

Went and talked to a local guy I've been trying to get together with and scored this plus another 2 or 3 loads of goodies I've yet to get.

I'm really glad old boy backed out, this spot is close to home and involves old machinery so Itll be torch time !
also got to gander at this 1916 ford ! And no it's not getting scrapped but it's cool so I thought I'd share it.

And finally a pic of my lil " co-pilot" who went along with me to the yard.
