Hopefully P76 you're better than the squirrels. Supposedly they find only 10% of the nuts they bury. How many locations of scrap piles can you carry in your head before things start to get a bit fuzzy?? I know in the past I start missing a few traps in the muskrat sloughs after about 3 dozen or so locations (sort of kidding, sort of not)

P.S. Flagging them helps out but on public land there is always risk of theft. Part of the game I guess...

Sorry Tater, do not want to hijack your thread, but if I had 3 dozen piles and remember 10%, I would be a happy camper. Truth is there is over 50 tons on an abandoned farm of prepared # 1 iron. Someone helped themselves to about 10 tons before Christmas, so game cameras were set around the rest. Hope to get back to the ranch this week to see if any is left or if a record of their activity is on the camera. Who knows, the camera might be gone as well. So here is a toast to the squirrels and their missing nuts. Hopefully my nuts will still be there when I return.

Hey DakotaRog, this year was the first I used GPS and took my flags down...twice as many in the traps now as last year, won't be flagging ever again, I know now I had poaching going on.

Army G. Wolf- to avoid continuing to hijack taterjuice's thread, I've started a new "trapping adventures" thread in the

First motor/trany pulled at the new shop.
It was tight up top but it fit in the shop.

So I salvaged those pretty blue rally rims off that van to replace the fugly wagon spokes that reside on my car trailer currently.

Mounted my new power kings on them.

Also got in a pickup, pics should be up tonight

Tater, those 15 inch gm rally wheels sell good on ebay, the wider the better.

Yeah these are the narrower rims. Still 10X better looking than those wagon spokes. Plus they were basically free and now I have 10 rims and tires for that trailer or anything with the big bolt Chevy pattern.

Depends on axle and tires, plus how brave, or stupid, you are. Usually with a half ton axle 3500#, and on a 3/4 or 1 ton with 10 ply or better tires 5000-6000# but I have had almost 8000# on one before.

Sir- pure genius as usual. Don't know where you come up with this stuff but keep it coming.

Tater, you are very creative and ideas are stolen from you constantly. The wheels are great, but I never put the good stuff on my trailer. It is bound to get destroyed, so the luxury items are added to trailers to be sold. The exception is ten ply plus tires. Those are put on the private trailers.

Love the new welder and it will pay you big dividends for a long time to come. Use of a wire feed is limited to art projects because of lack of experience. Stick welding is the choice for trailers, equipment, and most applications around here.

Glad you are keeping busy during these slow times.
