Pics of my low buck Honda

Hope to get it back mobile before next weeks end.

And this car owned before was derbied. Bought it back for very little mainly as dumpster for demo car leftovers and what not.

Aslo took in a partial load of scrap while picking up the Honda. No pics on that.

Motor/trans pulled out of last junker of 2015

And full of shop scrap/demo leftovers waiting for 150$ a ton.

3rd generation scrapper and dam proud of it

Nope it's a super clean Texas car. Will serve as a work beater for a year or two before being derbied

Been a busy year for the tater so far.
Got that low buck Honda running and driving, and a sale pending for a healthy profit.
Been collecting much scrap for free.
    Pics to come soon.
Prices around my area still under 50$ a ton for shred, unless you drive 2 hours away.

Fixing to take in a load, my first of 2016, soon. Price ain't great but when it's all free and little money invested in getting it, profit isn't impossible.

A freebie that yielded a bunch of pipe for demo car cages.

I completely understand. Been doing the same- semi-hoarding and giving away any steel byproduct. Now that prices are creeping up again, It looks as though I may be looking to haul in my steel once again.

First load of 2016, all free. Only expense into it will be the trip to the yard.

Tater- Love your re-purposing the old ball field back stop for the cages in your demo cars. Very cool!! You you have a guessing contest for how much your load weighed. I haven't checked on "tin & wire" recently but a month or so ago it had crept up to $23 a ton which still sucked but at least it was better than when I took in a nice magnetic grill for half a penny a pound ($10 a ton) in November (haven't been back since). I'll have to take a car load before the wifey and SiL have a rummage the first week of May so more of the garage is cleaned up. Then it will be out of my hair for a while...

Sold my low buck Honda for a hefty profit after minimal investment. Wished could get that lucky on every 200$ car I buy. Scrap seen a slight uptick here, up 10-15 a ton. Good sign hopefully I'll be sitting on 15 or more cars before it hits 150$ a ton again.

Put the old ball field pipe to use

And made same junk in the demo ring with my wife, bringing home a 1,2 finish.

Tater, you give me inspiration to get out of debt, quit my job, and start doing the things I want to do.

Hauling cars, welding trailers, and winning demo derby's sounds great right now.

Thanks for sharing, glad you're still at it!
