    Scrap? I think not.

Picked this up at an auction the other day. Paid a whopping $17.80 for it. The pics they took to advertise it were poor and no one bid on it. The thing weighs well over 500 lbs. No rust whatsoever. Looks barely used. Just needs a blade. It can handle up to 14" Blades with 1" Arbor. I don't have 3 phase at my house so am not %100 sure it works but from the looks of it, it seems it's hardly ever been used. No burnt smell from the motor telling me the armature is bad. I'm certain it works. Wish I had 3 phase so I could test it and be sure. Rockwell/Delta radial arm saws like this run about $4k new. This one looks new. Posted it on CL once but realized that's definitely not the place where cabinet or millwork shop owners go searching for machinery. I had it posted as local pick up only since freight would be astronomical. Any cabinet or millwork shops out there in need of a nice radial arm saw?

you should really check freightquote.com I bet you could ship that anywhere in US for under $400.

If you can't sell it whole, I would bet you could get some dollars from that three phase motor alone.

Found one like it, minus the 3 phase part, in a shed on some tax sale property, worked like a gem. Good quality heavy duty tools like that aren't made any more, if it wasn't 3 phase I know that would've sold like hot cakes

New Delta's are cheap saws, but the old ones were top of the line. If you have a larger city near you, might try an ad in the newspaper classified there. Most places have regional Dollar Saver/Thrifty Nickel?American Classifieds etc. etc, which will cover your entire region, I'd try ads in all of them, considering you've got the money and the time to do it. Also search the model to see what they've sold elsewhere. You can do a Craigslist site search in google search by using site:craigslist.org (space) keyword/s such as site:craigslist.org delta radial saw (model number) etc, and it will return a sitewide list of results

Here's a wikipedia thing on three phase, near the bottom of the "phase converters" section looks like a couple possibly usable options to use three phase on a single phase system

Looking on Ebay, similar radial arm saws range from $300 for a scratched up model with no table top to $1725 for a nice clean one in FL except the one in FL is single phase. I sure won't scrap this thing. This is a beautiful piece of machinery. I was a cabinet maker for 9 years but that was over 20 yrs ago.

This! My father-in-law has successfully converted three-phase motors to run on normal household current. It can be done. I don't know how, but look into it!

There are several used equipment sites out there. Google them and you'll have a nice venue to sell this at.
