yeah my favorite tv's so far have been the little old one's, usually white in colour from the 70's.
you only need to pick one up to feel how heavy they are for their size, but yeah, once scrapped they weigh less then 1/2
'cos there's so much stuff in them, they must of been expensive little tv's in their day, the backs are completely stuffed with boards, transformers i think they are, wire and yolk.
When you consider salaries of $1.60 minimum wage and TV's did cost $400 heck a simple fan was $19 a toaster $20 The money pros can analyze the buying potential of todays minimum wage compared to the past and it is said we have less buying power but rich and poor alike have things that the pople of the 70's could not afford . Buying new - buying used - and finding free - All my computers are free found and many other items Yes the finding free is beyond the the wishes of the past.
