Has anyone ever came across the banner poles used to adhere banners to parking lot lighting? I came across about 80 of themf and tried to take them into my local yard and was told by who I believe to be the yard foreman I need.to cut the fiberglasss rods off before they would accept them. I didn't really need the money at the time so I kept them inside my trunk for a month or longer. Yea, scrapping in a Taurus kicks ass let me tell ya lol. (My truck burnt to the ground last year.) So this week I'm running a little short on cash and decide to see about removing the fiberglass. So last night I.spend three hours removing the *****es getting all itchy lol. Today I go and the same Guy that. Tells me to remove the rods says they can't take because "we've had alot of problems lately" they even brought a book out of prohibited.items and they are nowhere in the book. I told him what he said last time and reminded him that.he.did.not completely deny my load last time and.got only the response of " we've had alot offrom our old problems lately" yet again. Eventually I said **** it and just plan on calling the manager in the morning and seeing what he has to say. Btw these were acquired completely legally through my job. They were from our old parking lot lighting which we replaced recently. I think maybe this Guy didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. What do you guys think? Any similar experiences? On a side note a few months ago I found some nice factory aluminum wheels curbside and asked the homeowner if the were trash and he said yea I don't need them as I just got some newer chrome wheels for my truck. I took em to the yard and caught no **** over them. Theft was never mentioned, but I can only assume that is the problems they speak of.
