    Hospital Scrap

Today i got a call from a friend who works at a hospital asking me if I wanted some old Sony printers. I said sure I'll take whatever you got and he brought it over this afternoon. They are actually Sony UP-5600MD Color Video Printers for medical images. He brought me 5 and they weight 32 pounds each. They have about 2 pounds of high grade boards in it, 2 small motors, 3 windowed eproms (no gold ), some other boards I'm guessing are mid grade, and the rest is all steel with some minimal plastic. I've only done one so far and I'll try to do a breakdown later. He also said they have to dispose of a bunch of old stainless steel medical kits when they move into the new building so I'm working on those now. These are kits with scapels, scissors, and stuff in them they use for operations.

I also brought home two Watchguard firewalls that I replaced for a customer. They units I took out are functioning just have to be destroyed since they were replaced as part of a promotion. I've never broken into one but they are actually just like computers inside. There is a nice 1.5 pound motherboard, full size RAM, and a processor. The case is also a thick steel case with some nice weight.
