smelters are some thing i want as I would like to organize my copper and brass and possibly sell at a higher price on Bay - CL . A $1000 cost to buy I cant do . Yet I see I can make one for a very low cost. Any tips ??

I'm sure there are how to plans on Google.
I had built a small propane foundry based on one of the internet designs. Worked well for aluminum and copper but my yards wouldn't take them citing unkown alloys (that's a stretch) or heavier metals "entombed" inside your ingot. They just couldn't be bothered. I found there was a lot of waste (due to oxidation) and a lot of dross. I tried to sell on ebay but no luck.

Copper Flux
Copper fluxes-cup flux: range of products are essentially for melting and refining fluxes to be used in the melting of various copper based alloys like gun metals, brasses, bronze etc.
When used collectively, as explained below, these products provide a range of functions starting from forming a protective cover for preventing metal oxidation, to reducing the gas pick up, to degassing and deoxidizing the molten copper alloy.
The covering fluxes melt at lower temperatures than the metallic charge, and progressively float to the top forming a thick fluid slag that protects the molten metal.
