    Stacking cars

    Hey I'm looking for ideas to stack cars 2 high on 53 foot trailer I have a bachoe you guys think this will do the job just looking for ideas before I go make forks

    Try smashing them with the hoe, then stack 'em like this. You won't get them as flat as you would in a crusher, but if you can flatten the roof line even with the hood line I would think they would stack better and be a more stable load.

    is your backhoe big enough to run them over?

    you can also make a dirt/stone ramp next to where you park the trailer, to give your backhoe a height advantage.

    Yep, hoe to smash the tops, and forks to load, assuming your loader is big enough. Even without forks, a car can be chained to the front of the bucket. Do the smashing/loading where you don't mind having broken glass.

    We load 3 cars on a 24ft trailer without crushing them, but have to put one upside down on the 2 on the bottom. If i had a bigger operation id have to get a hoe and a semi but we only do 6-8 cars a year.
