    Wink Emergency Scrapping!

So, our day started early with a text from my brother-in-law that my sister-in-law was going into labor. She and my wife are really close so we dashed out the door to start the three hour drive to "be there for her".
Unfortunately, I left my cash at home, and I hate using my credit card, SO what to do?
Looked in the back of the truck and saw three barely filled buckets in my bed. A little brass, some copper, and a blown aluminum two-stroke motor. 10 minutes of break-down and I had gas money, lunch, and even a Starbucks run taken care of.
Right now we're hanging out at the hospital waiting for my new nephew.
    I love scrapping.

I always prefer scrapping vs using plastic as there are no fees. Congrats on the new nephew...

Congrats! Oldbarnz Best of luck on the trip. Maybe you could help em clean out a hospital storeroom while you're there, maybe get enough to buy us all some pizza ; )

Congrats. I found that a little funny cause I had to tap into my scrap a few times just for gas money so I can go to work not cause I forgot my wallet, even if I did forget it there wasn't anything in it anyway. Good thinking and once again congrats.

Actually, it seems like big hospitals are always in construction mode. This one had a huge haul away outside full of treadmills and exercise equipment....but I know the company who owns it. They prosecute! ****, I coulda bought more than pizza for everyone on SMF with those!
