    Don't forget:

    Have another call on hold.

    Be in the bathroom.

    Be wearing gloves.

    Be driving the truck.

Be doing something that requires your hourly guys to stand around doing nothing because they need instruction.

    And my personal favorite-

Be having an intimate moment with your significant other.

I agree 100% with all of those. I dislike when I am on a job for even 10 minutes and my phone keeps ringing. I try and not answer it until I am done, as I see that being disrespectful to the customer, but sometimes if you don't, the client will call another one immediately after hanging up. So its a toss up!

Everytime my truck is down my phone comes alive. Or when I actually say I'm gonna take a day off, here come the calls. I can't turn down money.

I try to answer my phone every time it rings. Sometimes I have to make it short or have the client text me an address instead of writing it down, stuff like that. Like George said, sometimes if you dont answer the phone the client will call the next guy. I get a lot of customers that call me and say that they have tried to call 5-6 other people but, I was the first one to pickup. I try to make it a priority.

Anyways, some other ones are: Clients calling at 6-7 in the morning before you have even woken up, when you are in the shower, or when you are eating dinner.

God is great, scrap is good, and people are crazy

Its better to be scrapping and thinking of God than sitting in church thinking of scrapping
