    Headed to the yard today

Headed to the yard today. Hoping for a good pay check! I have some #2 copper, 1 auto radiator, a few ACR radiators, some batteries, and a little bit of stainless steel. I also have a few electric motors but I might wait to take those in untill I get more.

thats great, theyre paying $1.45 here for clean copper aluminum fin here and thats way too low for my taste so im just sitting on it, if i could get $1.93 like you did id have no problem selling it, i have about 300 pounds of it from window ac's and full size ac units

You did pretty good, but I am confused on your prices for "Auto Radiators Dirty" Your post said you only had one. Most all of the radiators I get from my stops weigh less than 10#'s each. And you would be lucky to get over $.60/# on a clean one. Where are you going for your scrap?

I had one radiator that weighed 26 pounds and they paid me %1.93/pound. Dirty means it had iron on it. You are really getting screwed at 0.60/pound. Also this was a copper/brass radiator.

Ok, a copper/ aluminum radiator can pay that much. I thought you said it was just aluminum. Where do you take your scrap for those prices?

Why didn't you clean em? I found that after you've removed the metal side bracket it leaves a row of #2 copper exposed along both sides of the radiator. An easy take with a wide chisel

also wondering how much shred did you go through accumulating that load?

Lazy I guess. I just do this for extra money and fun. Not too sure on how much shred yet.
