Anyone have a rough weight of a pallet on smaller lead acid battery's 3 to 4 feet tall?
At around .20 a pound it must be a chunk of change.
I am wondering if I can work out a deal with taking all the scrap for processing the extinguishers or they can pay me X for every extinguisher.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I should proceed?
They are down an employee that did this so if I could contract to get all the recycleables this may work.

the least amount of money i have ever made on fire extinguishers would be the smallest steel ones and i can still make $10(thats only 100lbs) an hour on those popping valves and cutting them in half, thats just the steel because i break down the valves later which i make a good amount more on. you just need a good vise, ratchet strap to go over the vise and around the extinguisher for larger extinguishers, a pipe wrench and a cheater bar to take out the valves. the key is repetition do the same thing over and over, as far as charging you may try a small fee of like 10cents on the ones with chemicals but you can sheer a sheep its whole life and only skin it once
