I don't often have time to post a story on here but I found this to be kind of funny. I'm a member of a group with a guy who is an extreme environmentalist. He likes to find areas that need garbage cleanup in order to improve the appearance of the area. I joined the group because between my crazy work schedule and scrapping on the side I don't have much of a social life. So the funny part of the story is that whenever I go with him and however many other people are in the group for a park cleanup he instructs all the members to separate the metal from all the other garbage. It doesn't end up being a major score but it ends up being worth my while and I end up having my scrap metal workers working for free because now I don't have to go looking for the stuff. In addition, he'll send me an email when he finds a new location that's worth my while.
