So, every year my wife's family tells us to email them what I, her, and our kids want for Christmas. Every year we both say pretty much gift cards.
So every year, her aunt gives us VISA gift cards with generally $75 to $150 on them. Her grandparents gives us gift cards to actual stores we like...mine being Home Depot for tools and the such.
So, this year her grandparents got me a $70 gift card to Home Depot. So I went there today to see if they had boxes for a laptop I need to mail off (thankfully they did), and so I decided might as well go ahead and spend the rest of the gift card.
I went to their specials on tools, and found a Ryobi grinder 4 1/2 inch for like $30...So I pick it up, and notice it doesn't come with any wheels. I go to the tools department and ask the associate where the cut off wheels are. He walks me over to them, and I happen to look down and I see the exact same grinder for $10 more...I ask the gentlemen what the difference was. He looked down, and he said, "This one comes with a case, and 3 starter cut off wheels sir"
So I asked him if he could open it up for me, which he glady did...I told him, that I would take that one if I could (didnt know if they could sell them once they were open), and told him that to me that was a better deal for me. Then I also grabbed 4 extra metal cut off wheels.
After that, I went and picked up a new pocket knife (comes in handy when opening boxes and other stuff when doing trash outs), and a pack of 2 great flash lights. Weird thing about them is, if you turn it on, it is regular white led light, click it again, it goes to green, click it again goes to red, and one more time goes to flashing red.
In case anyone is curious why I bought these particular items, it is rather simple. These are items I use on a weekly or even daily basis. Plus, I am about to hook a new HVAC company that told me to contact them after the new year!
