    So far i think the best homemade tools i use so far is my carpenters speed square to use as a wedge to pull copper out of motors,and also (saw on this great forum) is a brake flaring tool clamped with a razor blade to strip coating off wire(havent tried the wood block with holes and a adjustable screw to do the same trick yet)...

    i agree totally that is one great time saver.
