Any one with a good feeling of where copper is headed this spring . It has been a strong winter so far for all metals IMO . So do you feel copper will hit 4.50 4.75 during the spring time or status quo Or a fast drop then back to 3.75 for spring?

I am sticking with my previous prediction for copper: Copper will hit $4 before year end 2013
Id say your numbers are too high. Unless massive inflation hits this year. I dont think it will hit $4.50 any time this year. 10,000 retail stores closing this year pushing unemployment even higher, and demand lower. I also expect another s&p downgrade of us debt this year. World wide demand i expect to remain level or slightly up this year. But nowhere near enough to push copper up to $4.50. We are on the brink of a global economic collapse so all bets are off.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE
I'm sitting on about 60 pounds right now and about another 50 to go. I would love to see it get to 4.50
I have a good feeling about copper and think that spot price will hit the $4+ range. I am hoping that I can average $3.50 on my stash of bare bright, #1 and #2.
If it wasn't for the $ in $crap, it would just be.....
I was in class yesterday and one of my classmates and I were discussing copper prices in our area. He told me his brother in New Jersey was getting $4 a pound, I didnt believe him. But now I'm not so sure?
Could it be up that high already in some areas?
copper spot is at $3.75, there is no way a yard is going to be paying $4 right now. Also in order for copper to pay out at $4.50, spot price would have to be $5+ for an extended period of time, i dont see that happening this year.
Iam in Delaware just over river from Jersey. Highest price yesterday was $3.20.
i'm in new jersey and my yard is paying $3.00
I got over $3.00 a # for #2 this week...helps pay for the increase in gas prices...up ~.60 gallon here in the past few weeks.

interesting my yard will pay 3.30 but it has to be over 250 pounds other wise it's 2.76 I don't know if it means any thing but my yard is revamping there 5 locations Completely rebuilt(new built buildings) live camera state of the art record keeping . Gotta figure he must feel secure about the future of metal sales. Curb hunter types that used to cause long lines are gone state truck drop offs and larger trucks seem more abundant. & now they are very strict metal only no more coffee makers printers phones and plastic scrappy items I used to sell them. (from the small guys) a large truck they are more forgiving .
