a recent and still giving honeyhole

A friend of mine in my unit work for a cemetery. No we have not scrapped anything cemetery related. The owners said we could clean up everything behind there office. Which has turned out to be quite nice so far. It was mainly what seemed like a old industrial sandblasting equipment. Here are a couple pics.

That was pretty fun getting it on there by myself. But I made it happen. It was around 70 Buck's if I remember. The price was lower due to its size.

This thing was a lot more fun! It took about an hour of redneck engineering. That was trailor wasn't mine. Thankfully only minor scratches occurred. We will be going there tommorow. Have some stuff to cut up with a sawzall. Hopefully we can make some money. And he now has a work truck with a hangover hoist kinda thing. Which is gonna be awesome. Cuz there's some big stuff out there. We will need a torch eventually. Well. I will post more pics tommorow or a lil later on.

    Yard art?

I'm curious as to what you showed in the photos...the first photo is some sort of crankshaft with a couple of big flywheels...off of a very old compressor? By the way, how did you lift the front of the trailer back up onto the ball hitch with with that lump of iron holding it down?

The second photo--another compressor? It almost looks like an old steam engine? Might have had a brass makers plate on it somewhere...

    Keep the photos coming!

    Jon.

Probably nearly everyone started with one like it. Mine was a 4x8' with an axle that looked like a bed rail. Hauled some heavy loads till the wife insisted I get a bigger trailer.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Yes. I'm pretty sure it was some sort of older sandblaster. We also took in a metal thing that had a little sand like material left in it. I did go Saturday. I should have taken more pics. But I always feel rushed because I work most Saturdays. Which is lame. We made decent money. Had 3 loads. Here a couple of the first.

Had to drag it out from under the falling down wood shed.

    Almost loaded.

I really should have taken more pics. Its quite interesting how we load this stuff. But we make it happen. No. We weren't allowed to use his work truck.
Next trip will definately take more pics. I will have to acquire a torch tho. But again. I'll make it happen. Its fun money. That's what has got me hooked!

We did have 46 pounds brass and 23 pounds dirty brass. And a pretty big motor. This last trip. Unfortunately those first couple times there. I wasn't as educated as I am now. Won't happen again.

Well made it to the honey hole again. I love it every time. Ima be sad when it drys up. Here are some more pics. I borrowed a torch this for this Saturday. Its goin to be real nice this weekend. These loads paid for the filling of the tanks and then some!

Gotta drag it out. Which is always fun.

Gotta load it up. Loaded some axles with it. Had to take the tires and rims off. Looked up the axles. Tried to find a buyer, You can see how that turned out.

Here is the last load of old carts and stuff. It was the best paying. He looked at this load hard. Thought he was gonna deduct. Thankfully he didn't. I think there starting to remember me. I guess. Again. This weekend should be awesome probably 6 or more loads similar to ones posted. Similar in weight. After of course I cut it down.

Oh yea. Gonna be prepared. We will use a leaf blower to blow what we can away. Aswell we will have a cut in half 55 gallon drum filled with water. And get something for underneath. Where the sparks and stuff fly.

More pics. A rusty old trailer.

    Getting there.

Loaded. The walls are under the roof. The floor is still for another day. Started raining.

    And here is what's next.
