Got up and took in the 1982 Ford f250. I cerry picked the wires, cores, hitch radiator and wheels. I googled curb weight and should have been around 5900 minus what I took off. I weighed in got unloaded and went to the window. The lady says you had 3940. I you are not correct. I thought I should have had 5000 pounds. Has anyone ever taken in a F250 if so what was your weight? Thanks

5000 sounds a bit high, especially with what you took off, in my estimation.

It was a single cab f250 with a utility bed. Took off radiator, wheels, battery, alternator and wires and heater coil. 1982 model.

I have a '95 Ford E150 van with the standard size cargo area the comes in about 5000#'s with me in it.

How about the starter, did you take it off? I get .51# for starters.

That sounds about right to me, might be 100-200 off, but really close. I think the truck's curb weight is around 4700 (single cab).

sounds about right. I scrapped a 76 f250 4x4 that has complete except radiator and windshield. It weighed around 4700lbs. The 80's ford trucks weren't very heavy

Hey guys thanks. I just thought yard was not correct. I had never had a problem. Now that I'm getting cars and trucks I will make sure I check my curb weight more closely. Thank God I still made some money on this deal just not as much as expected.
