    Gettin back to scrapping soon

it's been a while since i've gone out on my routes, by three weeks after christmas the metal has dried up. in the next few weeks i should be getting back in the swing of things. do you guys see your curbsides less abundant too? and do you have to deal with new scrappers at the beginning of the Year? it Seems like every year i see a bunch of new guys and in the first few weeks of may, they all disappear.

The curbs are alot drier than they were a year ago. Im still hitting some decent stuff from time to time but its not like it used to be. Fortunately the curbs should be abundant yet again very soon for spring cleaning and large item pickup.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

Last couple of weeks have been a washout, mostly.
Last night was a total homerun, though. I hope I can get that luck to stick for a while.

yesterday i found a working 32" lcd tv, 30 pounds of aluminum and 100 pounds of shred. I think the usual scrappers didnt make there rounds because it was monday and monday was a holiday so they figured it wouldnt be till tuesday. They assumed wrong.

The area here has dried up completely, I don't even see the traffic at the yard scales, seems like it should drive the prices up. I have been dealing with surplus auctions and they have been more lucrative. All of the stuff is in one location, stop, load and strip. Seems to work better for me.

The funny thing about scrapping for me is I have zero competition Im only a teenager so I still live with my parents in a middle class neighborhood and my neighbors are clueless, I just walk up and down the street and grab what I see. But in my grandmas neighborhood where I store large amounts of metal in her garage, Its impossible to find metal, because everyones scrapping. And if you leave your car parked long enough the neighbors might scrap it.

This was the first weekend that there's no snow on the ground since December. Nice and warm. Yard sale signs up, people have garage doors open, etc. smells like money outside
