    I made a connection

I decided a few days ago to reach out to all the hotels in my area to relieve them of any appliances and save them the cost of dumping. Yesterday I picked 13 27in tvs. I know this is not worth it for some of yous seeing that there is no place for the glass tube, that's not the case for me. Hook up with them, you never know what else they will throw your way. It would nice to come across professional and leave/present a business card.

Nice score. I always carry business cards and hand them out to new contacts. Also try to contact local compaines and corporations offering your escrap services. I fint that i get one score out of every 30 emails i send out. Could make a nice form letter advertising your services and what your looking for and send it out. It works for me anyway. I have a few regulars the bring escrap to me now.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

I do this and have suggested it before. Good score TR. Hotels do change outs all the time. beds, tvs, etc. AC units to, mini fridges. Specially if your in a high tourist area like me. Between hurricanes, regular storms, and tourists, my hotels on my sandbar do change outs almost yearly. Next time instead of 110 tube tvs I'll be grabbing 110 flat screens.

So yes..Hotels are worth it if you can make a connection. I'm lucky my wife works as a manager at one. Failing that connect the maintenance guys and the housemen, tend to know whats going to be next on the change out list.

Well done again tho to you! Keep it up, you'll find their a good source of stuff.

nice score!! especially if you have a way to get rid of the tubes. I leave a 35 gallon bucket behind that's painted up nice with name, number and identification of materials wanted to catch all the little stuff they won't pile up like hair dryers light fixtures plumbing fixtures broken power tools and such and they fill up fast see if the hotel maintenance dept will allow this! I do 20 different hotels in the ski resort town near me and they fill up quick some places have 2 buckets!
I like to call these a "buisness card with benifits"

Yep, not to mention all those face plates from various sockets, door locks (the electric ones) that need to be replaced, all kinds of goodies from hotels and motels. I seem to get ironing boards a lot to. Those things get abused and are replaced it seems more often then anything else.

Oh an those little suitcase holders..all metal, lil bit of plastic or fabric (straps).

    Good times.
