    projection tv

I have taken apart all TV's . I found a Mitsubishi projection that i decided to try it seems to work
I have been able to sorta get it clear . The TV works but far from perfect in color am i wasting my time trying to adjust , is there a trick to them or after many years of use do they get shot . If I call a pro in to adjust might be a waste. Over all the fact that it looks different at different angles is a pain . I realize this is old technology but if I could just find a way to tweak it to the best it could be it will be a nice tv for the kids

I will ask only the simple things I have tried and maybe you have as well. If so, do not mean to insult. Just I usually overlook the obvious myself ;-)

Have you tried to adjust the CONVERGENCE setting? If so, did that help?

Have you looked up the owners manual to see how to adjust the lenses manually? A lot of times things just get slightly out of alignment from being moved around.

My kids had one hauled back here from a military base in New Mexico. I messed with it and it lasted me, well...until a bigger, better one, came in with a load!

Good luck. And what the heck. This is one trade where if you fix it...YA WIN! If ya break it...YA WIN! my 2 BroJer

CONVERGENCE setting tried it also the lenses I'll just keep trying . I also noticed 6 adjustment screws the upper ones if i mess with them, it will shut TV off The lower 3 adjustment screws I can play with . true worst situation copper @ 3 cones . Funny thing messing with this TV , years ago was so expensive that the original owner would never have taken a chance to ever take cover off. Only reason i even took this home was it was the smallest Projection TV I ever saw screen is 36 in X 21 in sits on a separate platform .Over all I consider it a cheply built TV as I have seen some Projection with more AL and metal this has more plastic construction then most

After looking into the Internet I see that this stile of TV was never all that dependable There is a chip for convergence & and I have seen them plenty of times . but I figure most were probably no good either . But I see that there are many people who just for fun like to fix the oldie type large TV's all the power to them I don't have the time . But for sure in my hands have passed Chips , capacitors by the multi thousands. Does make me realize if i had a tester for cap's and chips they must have customers for them but the cap's need working legs to reattach for sure 1.00 per pound sounds doable
