Yesterday my boss at my day job was cleaning out the garage and gave me all the
scrap metal. There was an stove/oven, a metal tank, some motorcycle parts, a few copper pipes, etc. Today I swung by the pawn shop and snagged a 4 1/2 in Makita angle grinder for $35 and got to work cutting all the copper off of the tank. Turns out inside the tank was a huge coil of finned copper that weighed around 15-20 lbs what a great surprise! The oven had a nice fat power cord on it so I stripped that and added it to my bucket of #2. I brought all the copper i've been saving up over the last two weeks and added it to my load. I stopped at Dunkin on the way to the yard and picked up a dozen donuts for the yard employees (A move i learned from you guys!) and when all was said and done today I made $140. Not bad for a freebie from my boss. I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for all the valuable info. If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't have made nearly as much money. Good luck to everyone on your ventures today!
