    Ewaste pickup today!

This is an update, for this thread: http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/day-l...-customer.html

Went and did the pick up this morning as scheduled. Got a good surprised that half of it, is actually servers, and the other half is desktops, and then a few laptops.

Only issue, is other than scrap, I have no idea what to do with the servers! lol

Never have gotten one before, and unfortunately don't know of any local buyers for them. I sure am not shipping them, because I am sure that would be more of a headache then anything.

    Any idea for those?

    Pics below.

A server is just a big computer. Pull the memory, boards, processors, power supplies, and what is left goes to the scrap yard. Pretty simple. I do like server memory, it is larger than desktop.

might work if i dont have to ship whole. some of these suckers are heavy and shipping would be costly

One of my regulars has been bringing me boards on average 5-10 a week that i am reselling at $40-$100 each. Alot of the boards i am getting are not resale grade but its the resale grade boards that produce the most profit. I have 3 boxes of boards ive cleaned that have alot of surface gold plating on them. About 100 pounds worth that will pay out $8-$10 pound when i decide to cast them in, until then im just stockpiling them.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

Nice haul George. If you can't fire them up and sell them as working, then strip them down like a regular computer as stated above.

After looking at the pictures most of what you have looks like scrap. They are older servers that don't support the newer chips. A 6300 only supports a 550 mhz chip. Check each one out to make sure they don't support at least a quad core and scrap them out.
