The guy who will take almost anything...

So a coworker calls the other day and asks if I want any free tools... Well, YEAH! Anyway I show up and this old man is just giving his stuff away, moving to Texas and such... Not a whole lot in the way of scrap. So as I'm loading, I start feeling kinda weird about just taking this old man's stuff. As the hour progressed, he basically confirmed I was doing him a favor, as he was going to call 1800-JUNK. So I started thinking about how I am a scrapper, I have a burn pit at home, a place in the yard that needs some clean fill, the old lady sells stuff at flea market every summer, and my neighbor is an e-bay seller of anything...
So I decided to help the guy and take all kinds of stuff of little or no value to me, just because it seemed like the right thing to do. Sorting through the junk, I opened the toolboxes and found a decent amount of Craftsman sockets and wrenches, a few saws, plumbing supplies, gardening tools (not sure how to use those)... Also scored a plastic folding table which the woman can use at the flea, enough hose to reach the other side of the house I've never been able to pressure wash...
The Old man seemed enthralled at how much I took, so I didn't feel so bad about leaving the 18 plastic lawn chairs!
Anyway, I guess the thought here is that it's not always about the metal, if you are resourceful and willing to take stuff you don't want simply because you have the means to dispose of it. Guess I should go start the fire, dump the fill, and figure out what I'm gonna do with all this stuff.
