Literally Throwing Money Away

Doing some curb shopping I saw some steel patio chairs and decided to grab them. There was a box on top of the garbage can and I noticed baseball cards inside. I grabbed the cards out of the box and underneath this is what I find.

I have been laughing ever since. I can't believe people are actually throwing money away. Face value is $5.00, I'm not sure if any of the coins are worth more than face value.

Hope the neighborhood kid that left it sitting there while he went to play kickball doesn't come back to find them stolen...

I would have went to the door and asked, but I do my route at 5:00 a.m. on my way to my day job. If I didn't take them, the garbage collector would have before anyone was even awake yet. The baseball cards were from the early '80's and I only recognized a few names. Based on the other belongings that were curbside it looks like mom and dad finally cleared out their now 30 something sons bedroom. What surprised me most was that they didn't pop the dimes out of the book to retrieve them.

check the dates....1964 and below is silver and better than 10 cents
