    I had a good day

I scrap part time, mostly e-scrap.
A contact from my CL add was ready for a pick up he has been talking to me about. He is less then 10 miles from me and it was free. 10 towers, a big server with 4 carded CPU's and 16 sticks of ram, 20 pounds of loose motherboard and finger cards, 3 printers, 4 UPS power units, 8 lap tops, two 5 gal buckets of small lead acid battery's and other ods and ends. This load should be enough to pay for the registration and sales tax on the, new to me, 1998 GMC truck that I just registered today! To top it off my shipment to ewasted of 180 pounds was processed today for $630.
I think I like this scrapping thing!
    Chris

Make sure you return those buckets so they can be filled again

    Very nice score for free!

Take care of that guy. Find out what he likes and get him a gift card or bring him coffee and donuts or something.

Finds and contacts like that should be well taken care of and kept in close communication... I'd be jealous, but I get hauls like that too sometimes! :-D

I agree it just takes one guy with a price list who pays for escrap to cut you out of the equation

That's why a good working relationship with scrap suppliers is crucial... I have people who GIVE me scrap on a regular basis, who have turned down people offering to pay them, simply because of the report I have with them, it's great to have that. :-)
