A friend of mine tipped me off on a 94 Saab 9000cse for $200, but I have to split it with him. Probably going to do a very quick scrap out because he needs money bad.
It still had plate and insurance, so Drove it 2 miles to his barn. It was parked all winter and before that it was DRINKING coolant and oil, but it still takes off like a bat out of fiery afterlife.
I figure I could pull the wheels and get $3-400 for them, and the converter, and various other parts, and about $300 across the scales after that. But that involves a couple hours work, a 45 mile round trip to the pick and pull, and waiting who knows how long to clear all the profits.
Doors are salvageable, 80% of the lights are useable, lots of small parts, tires are almost new, and tranny feels great. There is a Saab repair shop that buys parts cars, and I am hoping to sell it to them for $500, how does that sound?
Does that sound like a fair price for someone that has to take it apart and sell the parts and used retail? He only have to go like 8 miles to see it/pick it up with a trailer or dealer plates. Keep in mind, he is a saab specific shop and has connections for selling parts nationally.
