2 years ago now my partner and I took a pickup load of totes full of escrap to Ohio and came back with $2200.
Took a while to accumulate that many boards.

Every Tuesday & Friday I drive right by the yard anyway on my regular route at my 'real' job, so I take loads in a couple times a week, so I don't let the stuff build up into what you could call a "big" run... my main limit is storage, plus I don't want to overload the truck, plus I kinda like keeping the cash a-flowin'.
Biggest weight: 807#
Biggest payday: $530.55
The payday I'm going to get on my next ewaste run to HLH&R will be a new record, though. How much will depend on the results of a couple of auctions that end this week. If they go well I'll top a grand. I'm close already.

New biggest weight: 1118 this morning. Sixty-something computer cases, a trampoline frame, and a heavy steel table added up this week!
Took the power supplies from those cases, too... only 15cents a pound but 114 pounds of them!
Only 131 bucks, though.
up date: $5139.99 to ewasted.
there were also times when I took in 5 lbs of copper for food too.
I am very thankful for what this forum has taught me, thank you all sincerely, mcw

"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"
Couple of years ago I took some ewaste in and got $695.00. Been close to that a couple times. I have the same issue as a lot of people, which is space
I've had a few but these next 2 hauls I have pictures of.
First is the 3 roof top A/C units. Striped to the bone.
Here is the next one.
HVAC buddy we know.
Cost us a case of beer and pack of smokes.
I love my HVAC and gas fitting buddies.
Not me in picture, my high paid worker wondering where do I start?
$1500 a couple times then $800 a few other times, but average 100-500$
Oh and nice pics above!!
Well, kinda cheating here, but this was all in one day, and was from the same place. The only thing that kept it from being one load was the fact that I have nothing that would hold 20 server racks for transport!
Load 1: 1100#
Load 2: 1100#
Load 3" 780#
Load 4: 1040#
Total: 4020#
Never even had a one-ton day, and I go & bust off a two-ton day!
Best part is, Load 5 was all the cherries: A mostly aluminum server rack, a couple with some UPS's and one with 11 Dell Poweredge 1950s. They're in my garage awaiting breakdown.
Awesome part is, the bid I submitted was for 11 empty racks & one with 4 server UPS's. Love it when the ask, "Hey, do you want this, too?"
