    Spring Clean Up 2013

Sadly the 3 week Clean Up is coming to an end...still a few days left but I have found that by Tuesday of the targeted area, pretty much everything has found it's way to the curb. They do this every other year and last time around is when I really got into scrapping. Big difference this time was I didn't have to come running into the computer and log in to figure out what the he!! to do with it all.

Definite pattern formed the first week and held true through out. Stuff is supposed to be out by Monday morning so it can be picked up at some point during the week. Not much on Saturday, I would go out early on Sunday and get a little more...then about 9-10 am on Sunday's the flood gates open and slammed till dark. Constantly filling van, unloading at home then back out.

Monday's a trip or two to the yard then back out but not as good as Sunday's. Tuesday's were decent because all the procrastinators finally got their act together. By Wednesday it was like trying to eat lunch off a chicken that had been in the fridge for three days...not much left.

In all about 8 tons of material removed from the curb. Everything from snowmobile chasis, copper/brass fountain, bikes, arena seats and lawn mowers. Also found in the bottom of a box was a turn signal switch from a 1970 ish Triumph OIF motorcycle.

Some stuff sold, some to be sold, some kept...most scrapped. Here's a few pics.

    Working Fountain

From McNichols Arena that was torn down quite a while back

Old English Fixie and Antique Grinding Wheel

Finally get a house with a sprinkler system and I find two of these that work...what can I say, I'm easily entertained.

Can't forget about the wife...she loves Shabby Chic, Coastal Cottage, grab a hammer and feat the buck out of it and call it good. She's happy now.
