Trip to the yard with a bonus

I made a trip to the yard yesterday and when I was standing in line on the loading dock heard a loud roar. When I looked up in the sky there were four WWII airplanes flying over in a diamond formation. Thought to myself it doesn't get any better then this making $ and watching an air show. When I pulled out on the road a B 17 bomber flew overhead down to Boeing field. They built a couple thousand of them down there and this was the one that ended WWII on both fronts. They called them Aluminum Overcast.

Anyway have good memorial day and if your a vet Thanks You For Your Service.

My Dad was a pilot trainer during WW2. They frequently brought around a roster for those wishing to go overseas to sign, he signed it every time, but they never let him go. These are two of the only things I ever knew about his service, the second being that he was sitting in the cockpit of a B-17 listening to it come in over the radio when Japan had Surrendered.
