You did the right thing Burly, good for you. Think of the example you would have set for your employees if you had chosen differently.

Hopefully Sh*tforbrains will get the bid and you will be doing the cleanout at a later date.
If it wasn't for the $ in $crap, it would just be.....

I STILL want that effing toolbox! ;-(

It was the first thing on my truck, and the last thing to come off, so you KNOW how hard it was to put back!

Doing the right thing isn't always the easiest - after all we are human, not divine - but it is the best thing. Proud of you Burly Guy. Odds are, something good will come of it.

PS-if you do get the job, let me know and send one of my trucks up to help haul out the extra tool boxes or whatever.

You do not have to have him sing it. Better if you do, but to keep you from being charged with theft you need to show due diligence.
What you do is document this by printing his name and sign your initial by it.
Add a note that he was unavailable for the signature. You might still be out a few bucks worth of time, but it beats jail time and fines.

By doing this it shifts the negligence from you to him.
You can make money 2 ways.
    1 - Do what others won't.
