I thought you were going to show us your design for a cool new headband for the forum like on Survivor. No idea what gold's going to do or I wouldn't have lost money on a load of circuit boards a few weeks ago.

Thats a cool coin with a $50 face value, Maybe its a hint of a restructure of the monetary system and what a ounce of gold will or could be worth

It shows if the government if faced with a decision as to the possibility of true value , one ounce of gold is worth at least $50 and also
one ounce of silver $1 -
I don't think they just pick values out of a hat !

Do you think the mint would produce and sell alot more gold and silver if they went to conservative face values based on current market prices like $10 silver and $700 gold 1 ounce coins? Why would/wouldnt they do this?

I do buy 1 ounce silver , the store sales clerks are always happy to give me incentive ,as why it's good to buy Silver Eagles
" THEY WILL always be worth at least $ 1.00 Cause it's currency " , Once I hear that I almost don't want to buy silver at $29 per ounce

Yes if they had closer to current but still conservative face value they would sell more ,but they can't , as that would be like admitting to high value , or putting us back on the gold standard in a sense .
Any one has to admit that paying $1500 for one ounce that the Gov. will back at $50 is letting you know Gold is not a sure thing .
