    My first big pick up

    Hi Everyone,

This afternoon while my wife and I were sitting by the bonfire, I picked up my phone to check the Craigslist app. I checked it, nothing new. My wife tells me to put the phone down. I hit refresh and an ad pops up for "computer scrap" including PCs, Laptops, printers, etc. It claims to have a van load. I stand up and RUN into the house to email the guy and telling I'm interested. Before I walk outside, he calls me and asks me when I can come to get it. My wife hears me making the plans to go. It was about 20 miles away. Well, 2 trips back and forth later, I have 47 towers (most missing hard drives), 20 laptops, 3 Intelligent Digital Video Recorders, a couple of printers, faxes and 2 CRT monitors. Also, I have a boxes of heat sinks, power supplies (most without wire...), floppies/DVD/CD drives, and a bunch of hard drives.

On top of that...we had a great conversation and he is going to (he says...we'll see...I hope!) call me as he finishes cleaning up his old computer business.

    Oh yeah...it was all free.

    Thanks, everyone.

Breaking down the Intelligent Digit Video recorders (I've done 2 of the 3) were interesting. Several cool boards in them.
