Latest cleanout load made the wife real happy

Got a truck and trailer load of metal stuff from a contractor doing a State clean-out. Most was the typical stuff. My wife went through it and pulled out a couple things including a brand new still-in-the-box 10-piece Oriental brand wok she'd wanted so she was happy about that. But today we unloaded some more and she found a LUXO brand magnifier that clamps on a table like a drafting lamp. She does a lot of arts and crafts and I've rarely seen her so excited in 32 years. Now she wants me to build her a table that will hold it steady. I'm (in)famous for how I "overbuild" stuff. Usually, she says my stuff is too "rough" for her. But now she's put in a special order - "as sturdy as you can make it so it'll hold my lamp".

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Gotta keep em happy! Or, as I tell my wife, It's like Christmas every week without the bills to pay afterwards. Some weeks are just a little better than others.

Used to use one of those lights on a daily basis when I did radio repair work. The only weak link is the hinge points will get weak and break off an ear.
You can redrill them if your careful.
But she probably is not going to put it thru the abuse mine went thru with 2 shifts of repair work per day/ at 6 days a week.
The replacement bulbs I picked up at the local hardware (Ace).
