I have a feeling of guilt if I waste a day . Even before scrapping as my day off thing to do there is the regular chores to do. People do need rest though and put their feet up. Some weeks I carry alot of guilt.

I sometimes feel burnt out after 8 hours at the Full time job (2pm-10pm),After work do a scrap run on the way home, about 45mins later (now almost 11pm) get home and to tired. Instead of breaking down stuff I just stare at it with a beer in hand. or its scrap in hand and cant find my beer.

Same here. I work close to 50 hours a week and then spend at least 20 to 30 hours awesome scrapping. Not to mention all the other lawn chores and indoor house chores and what not. I get burnt out once every few weeks to be honest, but I've gotten to the point where I can pretty much tell when its going to happen and plan a small day trip for the family. Keeps everyone happy. Plus I use the scrap money I get to take us on these trips so it ends up adding more motivation for all of us to keep going so our trips can become better and longer.

sometimes i feel overwhelmed by the scrap ive collected in my yard
i dont know where to start
the big items are OK-not to much fiddling with them required

but the smaller things, where u have to use screwdrivers and the hammer to get the copper or brass etc out...
u can spend a lot of time a not seem to have a lot to show for it

When I feel burnt out I turn on the xbox and take a night off of just shootin stuff. Or like this weekend plan to go to the ranch and blow off some real shells. Takin the kid to shoot his new 22 while I put a couple hundred rounds threw my AK.

Yep, I get those days. When I do, I take the day off, go plop my butt in the sand, settle the cooler in next to me, and sit back an enjoy the day.

Yea..making money is nice, but so is remembering you gotta relax once in awhile.

Burning out won't increase your profits, just make you hate what you do.

I am working 12hr days right now, 8 in the shop tearing down cars, 2 ebay listings, 2 ebay shipping. That still leaves me about 5 hrs at night to drink beer and get some halo and cod kills.
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE

I've been there. Between working 40-50 hours a week at the full time job, pulling second shift after work and a Sat/Sun shift on my own various gigs, you just get spent at times. Not to mention the injuries and sickness from being wore out. It is what it is. I think I can count on one hand in 5 years how many full Saturday's I have had off. I'm driven though by certain goals I set for myself so the pedal stays on the floor. Body is starting to break down more often and I am quickly coming to realize I got to reel it in some with the heavy manual labor. Automate what I can as cash allows and shift gears into more ebay/resale items. More brains, less brawn if you will.
