When they get to about 8 or 10 years old, people no longer trust them as the family car and they're not that popular with commuters. Although they're not great for real heavy hauling, I've had no problems with loads up to about a 1,000 lbs. This is fine for shred or
ewaste.
I feel a mini van could be the best as they hold plenty and are decent on fuel ,If you distribute the weight well you can go a ton but I'll drive it slow. I never did get a trailer, But no question they could pull 6000 pounds if your not looking to win a race . The Key with over working the mini's is you just drive them easy and slow & they will do it all .
(I use over size tires 235 75 15 ) they just fit and really handle the weight
I have always wondered about the 4 banger caravan's could be real decent on fuel
