This is either Good or Bad ? my son was at a town swimming pool
he saw this in the parking lot and said to my wife I am getting that for dad
he was all excited about the value .I not sure i will even sell it now . I paid him $5
    So 11 pounds @ .09 = .99 cents true value, I guess I'll sit on it for a wile .

I'm really liking this thread Copper Head. Keep the pictures coming! Also, I like how you can pack a pretty good load in a mini van, very space efficient.

I have some more Pics ,
But here is a most recent ,
Wife ,kids and I drove to Long Island for family time (her Mom Pop) Arrived 5:30 AM Wed Morn .
Due to last years flood still dumpsters out. I went to work , In about 2 hrs truck was full as could be, as seats you see folded down ,
Regardless I did well - 67 pounds of AL , wire , motors , Mix , Car Bat. made $93 and took back home some wire i was not gonna sell @ .50 LB
.I utilized 2 different yards, One was a higher payer like copper, @ $ 2.50 Lb .That impressed me as by me yards only paying $2.30 .
But I had to take most to the lower pay out yard because that yard lets you take apart at the yard.

I always like scrapping Long Island .
Long Island is very peaceful in the early morn . Some times I get home sick as 46 years of living there compared to upstate 8 years

This is a proper Pic of the recent wire find . The workers told me this type of wire is used under ground , plenty of copper and the AL is a added extra . Once again selling this wire as Dirty AL is just being taken advantage of

When the van dies you will have no regrets in scrapping it since you have made good money with it.

Don't want to bring bad luck to it but praise is worthy of the Chevy Venture . It has some basic annoyances you expect of a car with 160000 miles like Electric stuff, I see the virtue of the Old work trucks my father had much less to go wrong
Any way I purchased truck with 99000 and it has had no major brakdowns in 61000 miles just brakes thats all , I know the day will come , but not yet It runs nice . The inner Axel bearings are making sounds

I'm a big fan of minivans too. I switched from an E250 about 5 years ago - figure I've saved about $20K just in fuel over that time. You can get an older model, low mileage minivan for very little. When they get to about 8 or 10 years old, people no longer trust them as the family car and they're not that popular with commuters. Although they're not great for real heavy hauling, I've had no problems with loads up to about a 1,000 lbs. This is fine for shred or ewaste.

I feel a mini van could be the best as they hold plenty and are decent on fuel ,If you distribute the weight well you can go a ton but I'll drive it slow. I never did get a trailer, But no question they could pull 6000 pounds if your not looking to win a race . The Key with over working the mini's is you just drive them easy and slow & they will do it all .
(I use over size tires 235 75 15 ) they just fit and really handle the weight

I have always wondered about the 4 banger caravan's could be real decent on fuel

I figure not a pool heater - it came out of what looked like a forced hot air boiler the radiator was mounted so air could pass to bad I forgot to take a picture of unit

I have a Ice maker that I will first take a few Pics this has to tin coated or nickel copper plates that the ice was formed on . and some kinda copper coil . Ice makers are a great find.
