    Caught some brass today

Caught some brass today ! Tall one in back is 80MM, one in front on left is 40MM. Others have to be cleaned up but a stamp on the one in back on right says 1943. My dad passed these on to me today. My grandfather was a Seabee in WWII. He was all over the pacific building air strips. Guam, Guadalcanal, Okinawa, Marianas Islands and Tinian. He picked up stuff and shipped it home to California to my grandmother. Going to shine up one of the big ones and use it as an umbrella stand. The rest I will pass down to my son eventually.

    Nice.
A friends father was a Seabee and I was told he was attacked when using the bulldozer just like John in the movie. He went to school on the GI bill and was Vice president of a bank when I knew him. I learned how to water sky behind his boat. Just bring a can of gas and he would pull you until you where sick of wiping out or had your fill of lake water!
