Grant you a couple of buck one way or the other isn't much its just the idea when selling a battery for weight what differences does it make. The yard is going to get full price regardless if it broken or not. And if a yard is jerking you off like that then what else are they jerking you off about. Keep in mind that yards and yard guys play by different rules depending on who they are. If you see that a yard guy acts a little shady or is not on the up and up with you . You don't have to sell to him I have seen times when one scrapper gets one price and the next guy get more or less depending on who they are. I have even seen yards put the screws to guys over a couple shovels full of dirt and knock off 3 or 400 pounds just because they saw a little dirt in a lite iron load. Get to know your yard guys and the ones you can trust. Make sure you talk with other scrappers and get quotes. Because some yards will jerk you off.
