    Hidden Find

A machine shop I pick up from generates mostly Steel Turnings and some HMS in a separate container. If I listen for a "Chink" as I empty the Turnings Barrel I find chunks that go in with the HMS but the other day this is what the Chink ended up being. Must have been cut on a Laser CNC I'm guessing, due to the detail.

Much as it pains me KZ...that's pretty cool. Now if it was an awesome team like Oakland I'd make you an offer.

Oh, maybe that's what that unidentifiable twisted piece of rusty metal that went in the scrap bucket was.

Happy you make it to easy sometimes bud.

Sirscrapalot - Likely in for a world of hurt at the smf convention for all the team bashing.

I used to work in a machine shop. It was very common to do what we called "government jobs", which was making something for ourselves on the machines. Some guys were total geniuses and made all sorts of neat stuff.

All this football trash talk, got me to thinking...Perhaps we could have an SMF pigskin prognostication contest this season?

Yahoo has one that's free to play. I'll start another thread as the season draws closer, and I'll host. For those that have never done it before, it's pretty simple: Each week, you pick the team you think will win each of that week's games (no point spread involved, just win or lose) and then they also ask for your prediction of the final score of the Sunday & Monday night games as tiebreakers.

I bet we could get a heckuva turnout from this forum.

I'll even throw in my Preston Pearson #26 autographed football as the grand prize for the season's best picker.

I would offer some sort of contest regarding which SMF member's local high school football team is the best, but that's really not a fair contest. I live in Texas, and when the defending TEXAS state 5A Division 1 champions play a home game, I can walk to the stadium (Even with a bum ankle) to watch them whoop butt.
