Oh Fudge.... Machine

This woman who has been awesome at keeping her eyes out for things for me to scrap called me on Saturday and said "I have a Fudge Maker that was in my dad's shed at his office.. You are welcome to it-- it has plenty of metal in it" I was like.. "Yes Ma'am.. Thank you!!!" I wanted to post it here. This thing is about 200 lbs.. Sadly *Edit* I Don't think it is salvageable.. but we are about to find out! *Edit* . It was sitting in Flood Water in 2008.. You can actually still hear the flood water sloshing around inside it.. NASTY.. But an awesome Score!

The unit as a whole may be unsalvageable, but I would try to save any parts you can see if you can sell them on ebay. These units aren't cheap. Any random stainless parts should be fine still.

All Good Stainless stuff.. I should have snapped a pic of that bowl.. tipped.. Maybe I can snag one and post it up.. This thing is WIIICKED!
ryanw: I may just do that.. This mutha is high grade stuff.. runs on 240V.. Oh the Fudge it must have seen in its day!

flooded or not, I'd try finding somewhere that either deals in those or deals in repairs of that sort of machine

Ok.. So This is Why I love this forum.. I was just excited to get ahold of a 200 lb.. mainly Stainless Steel Fudge Machine.. Turns out.. Instead of tearing into it for peanuts.. I may have very well been handed a small block of gold.. Unit is still as it sat in the flood waters of 2008.. haven't touched it except to move it and take these pics.. I'm going to do some research and see if I can do something with it other than it ending up in the SS shread pile.. I appreciate the input guys!

does it got any labels on it? I just tore down a microwave that was made in 1986(that's a dinasour in computer years ; )

I also was able to dig up 2 Groen Factory Authorized Service Agents in Indianapolis.. So some phone calls are in order! This thing may just FUDGE AGAIN! :-)

You should look on ebay to Sledge. Several on there going for 1499 on up to 2599.

Definitely better then scrap score!

Update: Called Groen Authorized Repair Place
$100 an Hour to Test and Check.. Half Hour Min
Lady was AWESOME.. said "Heck even if there is a problem.. sell it as is with any issues.. You should get at least a grand out of it!.. That is the ELITE MODEL"

That thing looks sharp man. Looks like that top cover only has a couple of screws. I'd pop the easy covers and check the view inside, possibly do some drying, vacuuming, or whatever simple things can be done there too.
and maybe a drop of oil in the obvious places.
