    Scrapper to the rescue

Today was interesting I was hitting a dumpster during a july 4 event (well at the end)
part of the event were old cars on parade. One was parked near dumpster and the owner started the car and I heard the father yelling to the son get the fire extinguisher we have smoke . The car is a 1957 Lincoln and the battery is at the passenger side floor area . The positive cable wire cut open and as it went through the floor board it hit the steel and shorted out.
Good news no fire ,still they need to get home .
I walked over to my car and out of the mess I pull out a vinyl rubber pipe that was used for electric wire , the #1 coated wire slipped out and I gave them the casing pipe . They gave me a look like who are you . They cut it to size the battery wire slipped in perfect and the owner says its amazing what good stuff is thrown out this is very hevy duty . He said it worked so well he wont even have to buy the small rubber boot for the Bat wire that was original and also why the problem occurred .
