A pickup would be great, but I already own both my vehicles (an Olds Intrigue and a Jeep Cherokee) and its hard to justify buying another "so I can scrap". Thats why I stick to smaller things. You can haul a lot of stuff in a Cherokee, just hard to haul the awkward things like fridges, stoves, etc.

Most computer plastics are, in fact, recyclable. It would be a matter of finding someone in your area that handles it. In my area there is an outfit called Sunnking that takes computer plastics (usually ABS or PS), as well as small appliance plastics (Usually PP (polypropylene)). These plastics are most definitely recylable.

My rural area trash solutions is I have a 3 yard dumpster that is a call when full, costs me about $55 per dump, takes me about 3 months to fill it. Stinky household trash that really shouldn't sit in a dumpster, I take to a transfer station in neighboring county. My county, I actually have to pay to take stuff to transfer station and it is located on your way to nowhere. But on my way to neighboring transfer station, I usually stop at the "local federal land, I am too cheap to pay for trash services" and pick up the plastic and glass, do some dishwasher demolition, darn couches, occasionally I get a washer, actually haven't had to deal with a refrigerator yet, and I get a large amount of aluminum cans and take the trash to transfer station too. I call the local Federal office and give them an itemized list.
