    I can't make this up ya'll...

In another post http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/elect...tml#post158269 I had ya'll help me identify a harddrive so I could sell that puppy on eBay. Ya'll did, and I sold it for 5.99+shipping and handling. I send the guy who bought it this note...

    ******,

This is just a quick note to let you know that your package did ship in todays mail. It is expected to be there by Saturday July 13th 2013. Hope you enjoy it and remember to check out Electrowaste's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Elect...6922157?ref=hl) !

    Thanks for the purchase sir!

    Jeremy

Then I send the guy this note....

    ******,

I was just notified after telling you that you package went out today that it in fact DID NOT go out today. I am sorry for this misunderstanding. That being said I have upgraded your shipping now to priority mail (You should get it by Thursday) at my own expense and it will go out first thing tomorrow AM and I can assure you of that sir! Once again I apologize.

Your USPS priority mail tracking number is...

    ***************

    Jeremy

Then I send the guy this note....

    ******,

As promised I hand delivered your package to USPS this morning with the upgraded priority shipping, unfortunately, I have just gotten an news alert on my iPhone that states there was a chemical spill in the post office an hour after I dropped you package off. Drove by there on the way to lunch and it looks like a scene from a film. People are getting sprayed off and decontaminated. I feel bad for this situation and if you package never makes it to you I'll refund all your money as I expect that USPS will reimburse me for my shipping fees. Obviously this has never happened before so once again I am sorry. Here is a link to the story.

"Dear sir, the post office will be closed temporarily but not to worry, I've decided to deliver this drive to you personally, you WILL have it soon"

"I was in a little accident enroute and there will be a slight delay, but don't worry, the guys in the ambulance said they will take care of it as soon as their shift is done"

"Dear sir, You are NOT going to believe this but...

I was going to say something wise like, "Ya know, you're supposed to drain those drives before you put 'em in the mail." But the truth is so much more funny that all I'm left with is... WOW!

I think it was at one of the "local" airports that a bag was going thru the process of being loaded when one of the workers heard it ticking.
Called the bomb squad out, the robot took it out on the tarmac and blew it up. Come to find out the guy had thrown his alarm clock in the bag so he would not have to call for a "wake-up" call and got got his undies blown all over the tarmac.
