This is a busy time of year for me. We do the scrapping for a LOT of schools and colleges in our area.
This is the time of year when they are upgrading and cleaning out. We get a lot of stuff besides computers also.
Some of it is seem crazy to coming out of a school.
One school recently gave us 64 Core 2 Duo Laptops that have all test good so far. This was along with 22 extra
harddrives and 13 new batteries as well as power supply's.
We are a regular company that is totally legit. We also have a store here in Waterloo, IA.
We pick-up at the schools and do EVERYTHING we can to make it as easy for the school as possible.
Our vehicles are well marked identifying our company. We wear uniform shirts and tee shirts clearly
identifying who we are as a company.
We never smoke, cuss or do offensive things anywhere around the schools whether the students are there or not.
We have, over time, gained a sense of trust with the schools in our area. They have shared what we do with other schools and businesses and we continue to grow.
We are blessed with the ability to do the hard work that needs to be done. And yes, we have got lucky a few times also.
There is a definite learning curve in starting any business. I try to learn from other people's mistakes on this forum and in my life.
We are now on the verge of securing the business of a company that is world wide and has 5 plants in our area alone.
They employ around 6000 people here in town alone. They employ 60,000 people world wide.
