Lol yes that would be a good idea instead of passing up a good deal. unless it's far off and not worth the gas

About a 60 mi round trip.. coulda' shoulda' woulda'....
question.. I picked up about 30 Norstar multi-line business phones. I plugged a couple into my home phone line to test them, but got no dial tone. I can't hardly believe that they're broken or disabled. Am I missing something?

Run the model# on fleecebay. 1) they may be Voip phones. 2) they may need a power source as Bear stated. 3) even if broken, or incomplete, there are buyers that may take the entire lot for "parts/repair"

Sitting on over 200 old 2 line an Voip phones and systems myself. Winter stash ;-)

Already ran the models (Norstar 4310) on ebay... $15-$25 ea.

Yea, those would get plugged into the "control unit" that is in the pic. I would list them as "for parts or repair/but may all be working. have no means to test" you should make out OK on them. far better than scrap value.

Somebody else may have a better idea, but I have been having good luck with phones. Used to think they were a real PIA. But found out it is worth doing the research and selling them on fleecbay or CL. Think I made close to 300 last month on phones!

Lets us know how ya make out!

I'm guessing they're programmed to dial primarily on a local network, kinda like a "dial 9 to get an outside line" ? It could be possible to reset them, or maybe even just flip a switch? If you'll dl the operators manual and check it real good, you might find how to do it

I once bought a lot that came from a gov't office in Louisville,KY, if I remember correctly about a 150 mile trip from Nashville. I had the pickup bed pretty well loaded with computers when all a sudden they come out with a box of phones(I'm talkin like gaylord box) and I'm going like "what in the world am I gonna do with that cr@p!" By the time I got it on top near the back, it wasn't in real good shape, but I halfheartedly tied it in and took off(maybe kinda hoping it would just kinda "dissappear" ; ) About ten miles I figured I better look, and it was barely hanging on, so I shoved it back up again and secured it just a little bit better.
They'd got new phones(nearly identical, but new) and had put the old ones into the boxes their new ones came in. They were all Northern Telecom, and after researching them a bit found that people really liked them, were nearly indestructible, and worked well in shops and such, or rugged use places. Them things sold great on Ebay, were already in boxes and easy to ship. By the time they were nearly gone I was wishing I had more. Hek, I've still got a couple of them things here. They work on analog without power, but need a power adapter for memory, lights, and such to function

Well they're sellin'. the phones. Been listing them in lots of two for 9.95 plus shipping. Sold 6 so far, so I listed a 30 day "Buy Now" at $10 plus shipping, 10 lots available.
