Would you drive an hour (70 miles) for this?

I just got a email about all this stuff, the person wants it gone, I'd be getting it for free. They're 70 miles from me one way, they are electronic parts and I can see a hard drive there so I'm assuming there would be more computer parts. It also has some monitors and printers but I don't see that many, I asked him for some more detailed pics and if he would give me a general description of whats all there. I can't pay for it cause I'm still recovering from that big load I just got. (Which I already made my investment back already! PURE PROFIT NOW BABY!) so this is pretty much the only call I can do right now, I have a list compiling of the people that want me to pay for stuff, and when I get some cash flowing from either the metal scrap down at my pile and or take my ebay cash out of the bank, I'll be smooth sailing. Once again thanks scrap metal forum for the great info.

Kochy, personally, I would NEED to see those better pics. As it sits, and what you have now, I am not sure that 3 hours away from all that +gas, makes it worth it. BUT, better pics may reveal a hidden treasure that WOULD make it worth it. To drive that far, and it all be just scrap...I would pass and get the cash flow going. That is not the last email you will recieve, to come and get it, free. jus my 2

I've also asked him if he could possibly load it up and meet me. I'll update the pics when he replies and if he sends me detailed pics.

I could see his side if you wanted to get a better list, or more photos, he could also go the "this ain't JC Penny" route, but I also well understand your side too

An hour is a bit far unless that box is full of working drivers. if i had a little P!sss cutter car that was amazing on gas maybe if i had nothing else to do. making 5an hour is better then nothing an hour.

Nice calculator. I could do it in my wife's Versa for $13. But if i had to take my truck it would cost me $50. Don't see $50 worth of material in the pic provided. Seems like a lot of time spent hoping to break even.

I would need more pics,as it is you would pay to do the job.

The guy hasn't called me back yet. But if there is a lot of goodies in it I'll go get it n stop at places along the way like suggested.

Parrothead knows my approach! If I could pick it up on a Saturday, I'd break out my road atlas or the google machine and find an interesting hike or a museum, things I'd gladly drive an hour for. Pick this on the way home, and then I'd rationalize that it paid my gas to get to the touristy thing.
