The smaller the trailer, the tougher to back. You might try a bicycle flag if your sides don't get it in view enough. Nice score by the way.

Get a couple snowplow driveway guide stakes and fix to both rear corners to guide you in backing. They come in 36" & 48" and are pretty cheap. You should be able to find them at any hardware store. These aren't the same as what goes on the plow, itself.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
New, that little thing could be a game changer for you! Even just hauling copiers it's a nice addition. There have already been some good ideas posted on how to make it more visible. Here is my suggestion...
Take it out in a parking lot that is empty and practice backing. ALWAYS start with your hand on the BOTTOM of the steering wheel. By doing that, the trailer will always go in the direction you want it to. Put a trailer jack wheel on it, and most the time you can drop it an push it back if need be. This is just another learning curve and chance to grow!!
Smaller trailers are a bit harder to back up, but YOU CAN DO IT! Look at all the things you are doing now, that you could not last year! jus my 2
If you have someone that is good with welding, have them extend the tongue an extra foot or two, would make it easier to back up.Smaller trailers are a bit harder to back up, but YOU CAN DO IT!

Excellent score! It should be much easier to load heavy things onto it, rather than lifting up onto the truck bed.
An idea: When you build the walls for it, paint a white or florescent yellow or orange band around the top so that you can see it easier in your mirrors, and it'll help you judge where it's at when you're backing up.
Awesome score! Love the pink paint suggestion.
